In-Person Classes

West Plano Driving School is offering comprehensive drivers ed classes that include both classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel lessons.

The summer program at West Plano Driving School is designed for teenagers between the ages of 15 and 17 who are looking to obtain their driver’s license. The 32-hour, 16-day classroom course covers all the essential topics that young drivers need to know, including traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and the importance of responsible decision-making behind the wheel.

14 hours of behind-the-wheel driving lessons

In addition to the classroom instruction, students will also receive 14 hours of behind-the-wheel driving lessons with experienced instructors. These hands-on lessons provide students with valuable practical experience in real-world driving situations, helping them to build confidence and develop safe driving habits. The 3-week program is structured to give students a well-rounded education in driver safety and prepare them for success on the road. By combining classroom learning with behind-the-wheel practice, students can gain a deeper understanding of the rules of the road and how to apply them in different driving scenarios.

• The permit test is given on the third day of class. After passing, you will receive a DE-964 and a checklist to take to the DPS.
• You may begin scheduling your behind-the-wheel driving lessons after you receive your learner permit and your tuition is paid in full. You have six months to complete the program.
• Pay Online: STUDENT’S CANNOT BE ADDED TO THE CLASS LIST WITHOUT A PAYMENT.

• An Application signed by the parent or legal guardian.
• A payment of $499.00 cash, credit or debit card.
• A black ink pen, notebook and a photo ID
